Fenerbahçe’s Topuk Yaylası facilities belong to the Fenerbahçe Sports Club. My original notes described the resort and sports complex as occupying a site of more than 150 dönüm, with around 2,500 square metres of built space. We visited this mountain hotel in Kaynaşlı, Düzce, while still living in Turkey, roughly two years before I wrote the article. The cover photograph shows summer, but our trip was in winter, close to New Year. It was a peaceful place to be surrounded by forest, quiet and close to nature, with natural wood throughout the hotel.

There were standard rooms and duplex rooms. I found the hotel very pleasant: it felt less like a conventional hotel and more like staying in a mountain chalet. 🙂

As a Fenerbahçe supporter, I was especially happy to be there. 🙂 I cannot speak for fans of other clubs, but my Galatasaray-supporting husband came and stayed too—which I found quite funny! 😀

During our stay, I saw several well-known Fenerbahçe figures. The facilities also hosted people connected with the club’s congress and council.

The mountain-hotel essential: grilled sucuk! 🙂

We genuinely relaxed and had a very enjoyable time. The food, breakfast and room were all good, and there were pool and spa facilities. There may have been a few minor issues with service, but nothing we chose to dwell on. I would recommend it based on that stay. The resort sits around a small lake in dense forest. Reaching it can take time, though: the road climbs high into the mountains with many bends and steep drops. 🙂 My notes also say that regular guests were not accepted during Fenerbahçe’s training camps, so check availability directly.

Historic price from our stay: 200–280 TL per night for two people on a half-board basis.

Even when I wrote the original article, that price was already about two years old. It is not a current quotation.
